Review: Row Counter App

One of the best apps for knitters and crocheters. Keep track of your projects, and where you’re at with each project, and create a fun community with your fellow crafters!

This app is the multi-WIP fiber artist’s dream! I am absolutely horrible (or perhaps, just overzealous) at starting multiple projects, so keeping track of them can be even harder, but not with this handy-dandy little app.

Granite Cardigan by All About Ami

I LOVE a good Cardigan. They’re versatile, some are cozy, others are airy, they always add to an outfit, and are just all-around fun. This Granite Cardigan is Stephanie of All About Ami.

Believe it or not, the Granite Poncho was actually my first encounter with an All About Ami pattern. I don’t usually make little stuffed toys or amigurumi, so when I was looking for a fun and easy poncho pattern, I stumbled onto the Granite Poncho and absolutely loved it! The best part was that I knew I would be able to customize it to create a knit and crochet merge and make it completely my own.

How to: Connect Crochet Foundation Stitches for “in the Round” Projects

Crochet Foundation Stitches (such as the Foundation Single Crochet or Foundation Double Crochet) are methods for beginning a project that allows you to work your foundation row (or chain row) at the same time as your first row of crochet stitches. It’s great for long foundation projects or when you need something with a little extra give. But what happens when you need to put those stitches into the round, like the bottom of the Wine Glass Lanyard Crochet Pattern, or the Birch Leaf Ear Warmer? Well, today, I’m sharing with you how to put those stitches together into the round so you can make even more fun projects!

Free Pattern: The Birch Leaf Beanie

We’re finally at the last of my crochet leaf stitch patterns! WHAT?! This pattern is seriously my favorite! When I started blogging and offering patterns, my first 2 were knitted washcloths with a crochet border, and ever since I’ve had this interest and love of merging the 2 techniques together.

So many people are either #teamknit or #teamcrochet. I’m over here singing “Why can’t we be friends? Why can’t we be friends?” (in case you didn’t know, this is the Song Why Can’t We Be Friends By WAR).

Who’s ready for fall????? ME!!!!! And really, almost EVERY millennial girl in the modern-day, first-world hemisphere. 🤣 But that being said… I am a Midwest girl and I do happen to live in one of the most BEAUTIFUL places for Fall (La Crosse, WI). We have some of the most amazing fall weather and with the mighty Mississippi right next door, I personally think it’s one of the most beautiful places you could live (or visit). In case you missed my “sales pitch” on visiting La Crosse, check out Part One of My Leaf Pattern Bundle… Leaf Me to my Coffee Cup Sleeve.

Anywho… this pattern is a super quick make. Once you get your stitches down, you’ll be making this pattern up quicker than you thought.
