Paprika Mayonnaise

Are you ready for the condiment you didn’t know you were missing out on? Introducing…. Paprika Mayonnaise!

This Paprika Mayonnaise recipe came about after trying a version at a burger joint in Madison. Theirs was so good, I had to try and re-create it at home. One thing I knew right away I wanted to change… was to add a bit more tang to cut that fattiness of the mayo. My version uses only pantry ingredients making it easier to whip up on a whim. I also decided to add some of my favorite Asian staples to the flavor of this Paprika Mayo Dipping Sauce Recipe.

ABOUT THE INGREDIENTS

Japanese mayonnaise adds that tang I wanted this dip. Japanese Mayonnaise is far more readily available in grocery stores (even Walmart has it) than it used to be. If you can’t find it, replace it with a 1:1 ratio American mayonnaise plus ¼ teaspoon rice wine vinegar

Smoked paprika is the star of the show! The smokiness amps up the flavor vs uses sweet paprika.

Garlic powder and onion powder help emphasize the paprika. It added a dimension to the dip.

Sriracha chili sauce adds heat, which is why it’s optional. We like a little spice in ours, but omit it if it’s not for you.

Paprika mayonnaise is a condiment that enhances any dish. It is creamy, smoky, and tangy with a hint of garlic. It pairs perfectly with fries, onion rings, and chicken fingers. You’re gonna want to add it to your list of dipping sauces immediately.
