Back before I knew how to write my name, I was cutting out paper people chains with scissors (supervised by my mom, of course). And as every 90's baby would tell ya - friendship bracelets and scrapbooking were prominent hobbies in elementary school. The pony bead craze, Perler bead art, and even Shrinky Dinks all played their role in shaping my diverse interests in creating things with my own two hands. What I remember most is how it felt to give these creations to friends, family, and patrons of my parents' small business - I was filled with pride and accomplishment. "I made this!" I would often exclaim with so much passion. Fast forward over 20 years and here I am saying "I made this!" I have reached the same level of pride and accomplishment that filled my heart so many years ago.
