My Top 22 Recipes of 2022

Yesterday, I shared your favorite recipes from last year. Here are my and my family’s favorites. This was a tough list for me to make since I legitimately love every single recipe that makes it to the blog. So rather than picking “favorites” in the sense of I LOVE this, I focused more on recipes we use as our everyday go-to’s. I do truly love every recipe I share with you, but when you have five kids with different tastes, activities, and events going on, you tend to find ones that constantly make it on the table because you know they are winners and not a struggle with the family.

Breakfast Tater Hotdish

The Midwest tater hotdish is a classic. It’s a casserole made with a canned soup, meat, and veg, topped with perfectly arranged tater tots. AS amazing as that is, I’m jazzing it up and making it for breakfast! No canned soup in this recipe, but it has all the creamy goodness you’re expecting from your classic Midwest Hotdish! This Easy Breakfast Tater Hotdish recipe comes together in no time, perfect for a weekend (or even weekday) breakfast! This can be made the day of or ahead of time so you can bake it in the morning! Just plan ahead for the baking time.

Cranberry Bellini

Cheers! It’s the holiday season, which means it’s also cocktail season. So for part two of my cranberry recipes, I’m going to share my Wisconsin Twist on an Italian Classic, the Bellini! Bellinis are sparkling Italian cocktails made with two simple ingredients: Prosecco and white peach purée. They’re fizzy and refreshing, and perfect to change up with nice cool Cranberry Ganita instead of peaches.

The post introduces a simple recipe for Cranberry Granita, a wholesome Sicilian dessert apt for holiday menus. The creation process is plain and stress-free: prepare ingredients, blend to a purée, sift, freeze, and break up portions. There’s an option to add it to cocktails, including a cranberry Bellini to pair with brunch. The author appreciates feedback on the recipe and shares an accompanying Pinterest pin for easy reference.
